Refresh

I have been thinking/day dreaming about what to do with the girls room when we get back to N.H. When we left, Bryn was in a toddler bed and the big girls in bunks. It was ok since the toddler bed is smaller, there was still enough floor space for some toys and what not...and just enough to not feel too crowded. Of course right across the hall Kale has his very own room. Same exact size, except he has built in drawers on either side of his window, so a little less floor space. When you factor in the armoire and dresser in the girls room, I guess it's kinda the same, just that his don't move so you have to work the rest of the layout around that.

ANYWAY.....
My "dilemma" is, do we work out someway to make a triple bunk and keep the three girls together, or do we move Bryn in with her buddy Kale and let them be roomies? REALLY, I would just like a 4th bedroom ;) Having Bryn in her own room here has been so much nicer at bedtime! I love Kale having his own boy space, and the girls are just that much older than Missa, that it's kinda of nice to give them their own space, AND again, not deal with the bedtime issues. I know it will be difficult to get Bryn to go to sleep when she is bunking with anyone else when we move back.

I am leaning more towards keeping the girls together. So I have been brainstorming and searching pinterest for triple bunk ideas. Of course, who is going to build them? I wish I could! Ryan can, but he will have a pretty busy schedule when we get back, and I'm not that patient haha. I'm really hoping for instant...or ok, I know I can't get instant, but fairly quick results would be nice!
I am totally cool with doing all the painting, I just need the product there for me to put some color on ;) My thoughts are white, and I have visions of making over their dresser & armoire to match.

A few ideas I have found...

The kids rooms aren't the only rooms I have been daydreaming about... I need to freshen up lots of spaces in the house. Well, I don't need  to, but I want to! I need fresh and new. New paint color for the kitchen and living room, and I have some ideas for the downstairs bathroom too. I love my dining room colors though, that will stay!  I have wanted to change out the chandelier in the kitchen since we moved in....I've been pinning ideas for that too ;) I love fresh and new and I'm ready for it!

Our winter storm

Well we had a winter storm. HAHAHA The entire state pretty much shut down. This post was "closed" schools, closed, even Walmart was closed!!! You know it's bad when Walmart is closed!
There was quite a bit of snow through out the state, and states around us...of course we did not get snow! OK, to be fair, we got a few flakes.... if you want to call that snow. :( Huge disappointment for this girl!
We did get quite a lot of ice though....so to Alabama's defense, there was good reason to shut down! Considering they have ZERO means of removing snow or sand/salt to keep the roads from being ice rinks.
Apparently as I write this, parts of northern Alabama are getting some more snow. Well la-ti-da aren't they special psshhhhh whatev-A!!
I am pretty certain there is a giant bubble around me, I mean even Florida got snow during the big storm a couple weeks ago.
Oh well.... It was pretty exciting for the kids to see all the ice, and have 2 & 1/2 days off of school for it. They enjoyed that. Not gonna lie...I did too ;) So nice to have nothing to do and no where to go. Considering everything was shut down, and literally all the roads were closed down at one point, so we just lounged around.
We enjoyed our southern winter storm! It was quite cold for a few days and since there was nothing on the roads, it just refroze at night. AND......then it was 78* a week later!

Don't be fooled...that's ice pellets, with MAYBE a LIGHT dusting of snow on it!
