Today was an absolutely gorgeous fall day. Perfect in my eyes! We met up at the orchard around 11 this morning, we of course got a tractor ride out to pick apples. Today it was Uncle Tim who drove us. We got three pecks today, and yes everyone had to taste test one apple each ;) We then made our way over to visit the goats. Always a highlight for the kids! It was on to the corn maze after that. The corn is awesome this year, so thick and tall! So the maze is pretty darn good..... so good that 1/2 of us ended up back at the entrance 2 times before the kids (yes kids!) came back in to find us ;) We spent a good hour at least in the maze. Poor K man got a lil' nervous at one point, he wasn't sure we were ever going to find his sisters or the exit. The girls were not worried at all, we could hear them laughing their way through. Could we see them..no, we had no clue how to get to where they were ;) Thankfully one adult in our group made his way to the kids. For a little while I was wondering how long the big girls would actually keep watch over B We all know B would probably have been the first one out if she had ended up on her own though! ;)
We always come back to our house after our day at the orchard, and enjoy cheesy spinach dip, some kind of soup, and of course... Apple Crisp! We laugh a lot, the kids play a lot and it's always such a fun day! So glad we started this tradition. We were actually trying today, to figure out when we started it. It has been a few years... at least since Kman was a baby, maybe even the year before that when it was just the two sets of twin girls. (Yes my cousin has twin girls as well, a year older then our girls... it's pretty fun!)
